Swiss Airlines, also known as Swiss International Airlines, is the flagship airline of Switzerland. The airline was borne out of previous national airline Swissair, which went bankrupt in 2001. Germany’s airline Lufthansa owns a controlling stake in Swiss Airlines. Swiss Airlines flies to 70 destinations worldwide, including cities in Europe, the Americas, Asia, and Africa. Its hub is at Zurich’s Kloten International Airport, with a secondary hub at Geneva International Airport. The airline’s headquarter offices are in Basel, Switzerland. |
